2 Months

Dressed up for his 2 month birthday

Bumbo time!

Alex had his two month check up on Friday. According to the doctor, "He's perfect." Alex now weighs 10.5 pounds and is 22 and 3/4" long, which puts him right at the 50th percentile for both height and weight. He also took his shots like a champ and is doing well.

Tummy Time!

"Tummy time is hard work."

Aunt Sara came for a visit on Sunday and Monday. Mom and Dad got to get out of the house for a little bit on Sunday which was nice. Alex loved his time playing and snuggling with Aunt Sara. He is full of smiles and baby talk these days. He's definitely more active now and has recently found his hands which makes for a nice bit of drooling. And while he doesn't love tummy time, he's getting pretty good at holding his head up now. Here are some cute smiling pictures and some fun ones with Aunt Sara.

Fun Week

Happy Para Week, Mr. Dave!

Carol

Mr. Dave

A little blurry but you can definitely see that smile!

Alex had a busy week of socializing this week. On Wednesday we went to Karla's (Beth's co-worker) baby shower at Dangerfield's. The last time we were there was for Alex's shower (before he was born) so he got to see the place from a whole new perspective this time! There was one other guy there for a little while but once he left, Alex got to have all the ladies to himself. He is such the ladies' man!

Alex got to go to Dad's office on Friday to meet a bunch of his co-workers. We forgot to take pictures but I think it's safe to say that Alex was a big hit. It also brightened Andy's day to get to see his little guy during the day. Then it was off to Shakopee to meet Mom's co-workers for lunch in celebration of Mr. Dave for Paraprofessionals Week. Alex was a champ the whole time. As long as someone was holding him, he was a happy camper.

Happy Birthday Gramps!

Alex and Gramps

I know Alex is sad in this picture but he was just so
cute with his doo rag on that I had to include it.

Happy Birthday!!

I love this picture. Alex looks so mad at Rosco.
"Stop licking my face, punk!"

I've been trying to get a picture of Alex's smile. These two
pictures are as close as I could get so far.

Beth's dad decided to make a last minute trip up to visit us last weekend and we got to help him celebrate his birthday. Alex had fun hanging out with his Grampinator and wore the Harley outfit he had given him, complete with a onesie, bib, blanket, and of course the doo-rag.

First Week Without Daddy

Mom and Alex

Anniversary flowers

Andy had to go back to work on Monday so it was just Alex and Mom at home all week. We were sad to see him go but we made it through the week okay. We ran a few errands and Alex got to make his first trip to Target. We wanted to stop and take a picture outside for Aunt Rachel but it was just too cold to be outside any longer than necessary. Some of Beth's co-workers- Heidi, Karla, and Meredith- stopped by on Wednesday which was a nice way to break up the week. Alex is really changing by the day now. He's outgrowing his newborn clothes and is making a lot more baby noises on a regular basis. He started to really smile this week too but we haven't been able to capture any on camera yet. He's had some good nights of sleep but he still likes to toss in a rough night here and there just to keep Mom on her toes. Andy and I celebrated our 4th anniversary on Thursday with a nice dinner out. Alex came along and his present to us was to sleep through the entire dinner, which we greatly appreciated. Andy also had a beautiful flower bouquet sent to the house that is not only nice to look at, but also smells amazing.

Happy New Year!

Cutest Badger fan in the world!

Happy New year!

Alex got dressed up in his Badger gear to watch the Wisconsin basketball game on Wednesday. We then went over to our friend's house for a relaxing evening of dinner and games. Alex was on his best behavior and enjoyed the party. Despite the fact that midnight is normally a peak time of alertness for Alex, he just wasn't quite able to make it last night and slept through the turning of the new year.

Steph and Alex- the birthday kids

It's hard to believe but Alex hit his one month birthday on Monday. We celebrated with his first trip to a local bar to meet some friends for dinner. People claimed to be there for Steph's birthday but we all know they were really there to celebrate Alex's one month birthday.
