Happy Halloween!

Alex was a member of the Lightning McQueen pit crew this year for Halloween. Rather than hitting up the neighborhood we went to Hallzooween at the Minnesota Zoo for trick-or-treating. It was nice because it was inside and they gave out a variety of things rather than just all candy. Alex did a great job going up to the stations to get his treats. If it were up to him, he would just hold all of his treats in his hands but he started to realize after awhile that there were too many things to hold and the bag came in handy. I think he was pretty tired out by the end of the day because he actually asked to go "night-night" tonight.

Pumpkin Carving

Alex and I carved our pumpkin yesterday. He was intrigued by it and was a good little helper. He'd pick up the seeds that fell out but wanted nothing to do with touching the goop with his hands.

Elk Mound

We spent a nice weekend at the farm visiting Andy's parents. These pictures didn't turn out great but you can at least see Alex in his new farm clothes.

New Trick

I was surprised to walk into Alex's room yesterday morning and see him hanging out in his diaper. He has apparently learned how to take his pajamas off and has done it the last two days. He's so proud of himself for doing it too. I guess I should just be thankful that he hasn't attempted to take his diaper off too.

Little Feet, Big Shoes

There's just something so fun about wearing Mom's and Dad's shoes around the house.

Emma Krumbee's Orchard

Alex and I went to Emma Krumbee's Orchard on Saturday with a group of friends. There were 7 adults and 4 boys under the age of 2 and we all made it through a trip to the orchard and lunch out without a single major meltdown. Everyone had a great time. Alex spent about 90% of the time either kicking dirt or throwing hay.

Alex was in heaven!

Jack was very proud of the large
strand of hay he found.

Can you tell these two boys spend a lot
of time together?? It's funny to see them
pick up mannerisms from each other.

Fire Station

There was an open house tonight at a new fire station that just opened in Savage. Alex, Henry, and Jack (and the moms) went to check it out. Henry and Alex had a good time but poor Jack was not loving it- maybe next time, little buddy! It was pretty neat though. The boys got to spray a fire hose, go for a ride in a fire truck, and try on fireman gear. You can see how much all three of them just loved trying on the boots!

Twins Game

Andy and I finally got to go to a Twins game at the new Target Field stadium last Sunday. It was a beautiful day to spend outside at the game with a great group of friends. Alex got to spend the day playing with Grandma Mimi and Papa John. We all enjoyed the day!
