Peoria Trip

We spent three nights down in Peoria with Sam, Rachel, Greta, and Berit. It was great to see everyone and to finally meet our niece Berit, who just might be the world's sweetest baby. The weather was actually pretty nice so we spent a day at the zoo and had a chance to get the kids outside to play a little. Unfortunately Weston came down with Pinkeye while we were there so we also spent some time in a walk-in clinic, but it was still a great trip overall.

Fortunately, the Easter Bunny knew we were going to be in Peoria on Easter Sunday and he made a visit down there. He left his usual scavenger hunt to find the hidden baskets of goodies.

Indoor Waterpark

We took a family road trip down to Peoria over spring break. We decided to spend a night in Madison on our way down. We stayed at a great Holiday Inn that had an indoor waterpark and we all had a blast! Weston loved the fountains, toddler slides, and swimming in the big pool with Dad. He was fearless! Alex was a little more hesitant at first but quickly realized how much he loved the slides and water too.

Easter Egg Hunt

I hosted an Easter egg hunt at our house last week. Due to the cold weather and snow on the ground, we had to do the hunt inside but it turned out pretty well. We had 10 participants ranging in age from 12 months-6 years. It was fun!

Dying Easter Eggs

Alex and I dyed Easter eggs over spring break last week. He was quite the pro this year!
