Ouch!!

We found out on Friday that Alex had a double ear infection. It took awhile for the antibiotics to kick in and he was one miserable little guy most of the weekend. He still isn't eating much but he's definitely in less pain and more like his old self again. We are glad to see some smiles again!!

Our sad little guy this weekend

Happy Alex is making his way back!

80th Birthday

We spent last weekend in Elk Mound celebrating Beverly's (Andy's grandma) birthday with family. After an entire weekend, I came home with 3 pictures of Alex eating cake and that is it. Apparently I am starting to slack on taking pictures. So we'll just say Happy Birthday, Beverly! and here are the pictures of Alex eating cake and ice cream.

4th of July

We had a pretty low key 4th of July but headed over to Raceway Park in the evening so Alex could see some "racecars." He enjoyed watching the races and decided he's a big boy now and had to sit on the bench by himself and no more headphones. He stayed awake until after 10:00pm and we even saw some fireworks on our way out, but by then I think Alex was too tired to care anymore.

"Go! Go! Go!"

Dan Patch Days

Last weekend was Dan Patch Days, the annual little festival in Savage. We headed over with our friends Heidi, Jason, and Henry. Alex and Henry rode in the luxury 2-seater wagon, which got multiple compliments along the way.

We started out with a ride on Kaptain Kirby's train. Alex is
really into trains right now so we thought he'd love it.
We were wrong! Henry liked it but not Alex.
Notice Alex in the picture below.
So then Mom got a free ride on the train to
keep Alex under control.

The petting zoo was a much bigger hit with Alex
(but less so with Henry).
