Nisswa Family Vacation

We spent last week up in Nisswa, MN with my family. We really appreciated everyone coming up to our part of the country. It is so much easier (and cheaper) to toss everything, including the kids, into a car rather than having to deal with flying! We all had a great week up at the lake house. We went swimming, golfing, fishing, biking, miniature golfing, shopping, watched the turtle races, rented a pontoon, built a campfire, played games, watched movies, and the lucky ladies even sneaked in a massage at the spa. Not a bad week!

Alex had been waiting for weeks to go miniature golfing.
He was so excited!

Alex caught 10 fish with his own fishing pole.

Weston loved having a ton of room to run around
outside at the lake house.

Good night stories with Dad, Uncle Beavis, and Simon

Lounging with Aunt Jill in their new pajamas from Nonna.

Unfortunately the day we reserved a boat was the coldest, wettest, windiest day of the week.
The trip started out peaceful with donuts on the boat and taking in the scenery as we traveled
down the lake. Once we turned around and faced the wind, it was undeniably cold, the water was
choppy, and the guys sitting in the front of the boat got wet. It was not the most relaxing boat
trip, but will be one to remember....

I love this picture of the boys!

Captain Alex!

Wes loved steering the boat with Grandpa!

The last night was a perfect night for a campfire, which was
the last thing left on Alex's "To Do" list for the week. It was
a great night (even though we missed Kevin and Simon).

Alex and Uncle Matt

A rare family photo

Alex cooked his hotdogs on the fire. They were delicious!

Wes liked roasting marshmallows over the fire.

He enjoyed eating his first s'mores too!

Alex and Nonna

Chubby Bunny champion! Well done, Dad!
