Animal Sounds

Wes has been really interested in animals lately. He is getting pretty good at his animal noises.

Minnesota Zoo

While Andy was away on a snowmobiling trip last weekend, the boys and I made a trip to the zoo. It was pretty cold out so we mostly stuck to the indoor exhibits, but it was fun. It was the first time we have gone since Wes has been old enough to actually notice the animals so he really enjoyed it. Alex would probably go to the zoo everyday as long as he could get his cheese popcorn at the end!

Not A Baby Anymore

When you see the boys every day it's sometimes hard to notice the little changes along the way. I looked at this picture of Weston and thought, "Wow, that's a toddler! He's not a baby anymore." While it makes me sad in some respects, I'm also proud of this little guy and the fun boy that he is. He uses sign language to say more, please, pacifier, milk, and eat. He uses verbal words to say more, please, all done, Mama, peekaboo, milk, and stuck, and we are starting to hear more Dada, Rosco, and Alex now too. He's really into animals right now and likes to look at his animal books. He can say the animal noise for a dog, cow, monkey, bear, lion, and duck.

Just for Fun

Now that Andy and I finally upgraded to i-phones, it's nice to always have a camera on-hand. It's also nice to have the reverse camera view so that I can hop in some pictures too. They may not be the prettiest but it's fun to capture playful times like these with my boys. It's hard to get them to smile for the camera these days but for some reason they are always more than willing to stick their tongues out!

New Play Area

A couple of weeks ago we went to the Chaska Community Center to check out their play area. Alex and Bailey had fun playing together on the big kid slides while Weston and Morgan enjoyed the ball pit.

Stir Crazy

We have been going a bit stir crazy lately with the exceptionally cold weather and not many opporunities to go outside!

First Haircut

We took Weston to get his first haircut yesterday. He screamed. Loudly. From start to finish. There are no "during" pictures to document the event because I was too busy trying to keep him from flailing off the chair. He made a quick recovery afterwards and enjoyed playing at the little play area at the mall, followed by a fancy food court dinner.
